Featuring a new, and lighter, silicon escape wheel, the latest version of this full-skeleton 38.8mm timepiece has a longer power reserve (70 hours) than ever before, as well as superb timekeeping accuracy (+15 to –5 seconds per day). What’s more, this precision movement can be admired through the watch’s eye-catching skeleton structure, which uses Epson’s unique MEMS technology to adjust light reflection, resulting in striking colours. Combined with carefully constructed spiral shape, this blue evokes the Milky Way Galaxy, while the movement mimics the shape of a comet with two tails, symbolising the universe-inspired design theme. With a high-quality stainless steel case, the watch is supplied with a comfortable and exceptionally durable cordovan strap. Part of the M45 Collection, named after M45 Pleiades, this constellation has long been used to mark the time and seasons. The constellation was mentioned in ‘The Pillow Book’, a collection of essays written during the mid-Heian period, more than 1,000 years ago. The M45 Collection features designs with similar classic Orient Star design language such as extended lugs, Roman numeral indices and leaf-shaped hands. This makes the Collection an ideal accent piece for formal occasions.
